Angelica is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in Texas and is committed to engage, encourage, and empower her clients using skills of therapeutic listening, empathy, and understanding. She views counseling as a challenging yet worthwhile journey of self-discovery and growth, and desires her clients feel seen and heard in session. Angelica works with clientele across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. She is also a culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed counselor, ready to work with people from diverse backgrounds. She is dedicated to compassionate counseling that focuses on cultivating hope, self-acceptance, emotional strength, and connectedness to others. When not counseling, it would be no surprise to find Angelica singing, skating, and going to brunch with family and friends.

Angelica incorporates Adlerian and person-centered influences into her therapeutic work, and has had training in modalities such as child-centered play therapy, sand-tray, TBRI, and DBT. Prior to becoming a therapist, Angelica worked in the mental health field and altogether has nearly a decade of mental health experience. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science from Northwestern University in Illinois in 2016 and later completed her Master of Science in Counseling at a reputable and CACREP accredited program at the University of North Texas in Denton. Her counseling areas of interest and experience include mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, childhood trauma, grief and loss, family of origin work, play therapy, parent consultation, and so on. As a Christian, Angelica also welcomes the opportunity to integrate scripture, purpose, and faith into treatment, or unpack spiritual or religious needs as desired by the client.
