Moerani is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas. She completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University and is under the supervision of Dr. Chi-Sing Li, PhD, LPC-S- LMFT-S. Moerani started her clinical work at a domestic violence and sexual assault shelter and maintains a passion for therapy that centers trauma recovery. She is experienced working with clientele of different ages, backgrounds, and identities including LGBTQ+. Moerani enjoys working with those seeking to heal from trauma, shame, anxiety, depressive symptoms, and complicated family situations/backgrounds.
She specializes in trauma recovery using Eye movement and desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Moerani is also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and has training in Gottman couples therapy levels 1 and 2. Moerani’s approach to sessions is tailored to each client’s needs and works with the client’s values, spirituality, beliefs, and experiences.
